Of course, there are instances when tints are not that effective. This happens when direct light is pointed to the car passengers inside. But for any day to day driving, tints will always be useful. Aside from the windows, tints can be installed on the windshield too. This helps you reduce sunlight so you can have safe driving during day time. Ask the installer how you can avail this.
One more benefit in using tints is for safety reasons. We mentioned that most car windows are made of plastics especially manufactured for cars. However, they can still be shattered like glass materials depending on the crash impact. If the window has a tint, it means it has additional plastic coating. Tints are made of plastics too which are flexible and expandable. If the windows of the car get shattered, the fragments will not disperse violently. The tint plastic will catch them so they will not reach the passengers.
There may be some cleaners that can be sued for the regular windows but can be extremely damaging to tinted ones. For example, some people use household glass cleaners to clean their car windows which are acceptable for normal ones but if these are used on tinted windows then the ammonia in them will damage the tint.
